The Society gathers fellows from the first first six Kim Koo Professional Series for celebration, networking, refreshments, and reflections on the program and developments on Korea. The Korea Society offers twice annual series that bring together thought leaders on Korea with senior professionals from the United Nations, media, and business. Graduates hold senior correspondent, analyst, and director positions and include the present senior director for Asia at the US National Security Council, several diplomats, a Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission commander, members of the UN Panel of Experts, the UN’s AP bureau chief, an ABC News Emmy-award winning producer, and many others. Korea Society President Thomas Byrne welcomes the gathering.
