A MESSAGE FROM THE KOREA SOCIETY BOARD CHAIR AND PRESIDENT

Dear Members, Supporters and Friends of The Korea Society,

We hope you and your loved ones are safe and well during this time. The Korea Society is closely monitoring and following the safety precautions from the New York City and State Health Departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding COVID-19. To ensure the health and safety of visitors and staff, the office will be closed to the public until further notice. In spite of these limitations, we are committed to executing our mission of enhancing U.S.-Korea relations through all available means.

The Korea Society will continue to produce content virtually, which you can view from the comfort of your own home. Our upcoming policy programs will explore timely and relevant topics affecting Korea, including COVID-19.

We also have exciting new webcasts coming up in Arts & Culture, which will add to our existing collection of programs available on podcast and video through our website. Furthermore, artist Ik-Joong Kang’s exhibition, “Moon Jar/Longing for Home”, currently displayed at The Korea Society, will soon be available as a virtual gallery.

Our educational programs are now taking place online, as our Project Bridge students engage in virtual workshops and our Korean Language students continue their studies through digital courses.

In these difficult times, we hope our content can provide the smallest bit of comfort to you all. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your continued support.

We look forward to the day we can see you face to face once more. Until then, we hope you enjoy our web programs and most importantly, stay safe.

Sincerely,

Ambassador (ret) Kathleen Stephens
