In this new series, we take a dive into contemporary culture in South Korea.

In this first episode, we will be exploring the world of games, especially that of computer, video, and mobile games: the history of video game culture in Korea from the 70s until now; how it has given birth to a new industry and a group of new business leaders in Korea; and how it is developing into a new way of storytelling, entertainment, and education.

About the Speaker:

Dr. Boh Youn Kwon is the Managing Director of Playable Consulting in Seoul where she serves as Interactive Storytelling and Playful Experience Designer. She currently teaches Interactive Storytelling Design at Yonsei University.
