Beginning Korean Trial Lesson

Tuesday, June 18th, 8:00 - 8:40 PM (EDT) & Wednesday, June 26th, 8:00 - 8:40 PM (EDT)

Are you interested in learning Korean? Curious about what The Korea Society classes entail? Then join us for one of our free Beginning Korean Trial Lessons, led by the experienced instructor Gieun Lee. Designed for absolute beginners, these trial sessions offer a glimpse into our online Beginning Korean I course. Following each class, there will be a short informational session on the Korean Language Program with the coordinator, Amanda Grant. Two trial classes will be offered with both focusing on practical expressions that you can immediately use in dining or even shopping contexts. Please sign up for only just one session. No prior knowledge of Korean or the Korean alphabet is required to participate in these trials.

Our Korean courses cater to adults aged 18 and above with a focus on working professionals. Further, this trial class will be conducted via Zoom, requiring access to a device with internet, microphone, and camera (such as a laptop, smartphone, or tablet). Please note that all session times are in New York time (ET). You can calculate your time zone here. Please note that these sessions will be recorded. By signing up, you consent to the use of your voice in the public domain. We will not publicize faces or names.

If you're not a complete beginner, consider taking a placement test to determine what class is best suited for you! For inquiries, email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
