Please click on one of the links below to access the appropriate test.

Beginning Placement Exam

Intermediate/Advanced Placement Exam

Note: You should allow up to 45 minutes for the exam. At the end of the exam, we ask you to follow the provided link to schedule a speaking test with the KLP Coordinator, Amanda Grant. At the conclusion of the interview, you will receive your course recommendation and can then register.

Not Sure Which Placement Exam to Take?
Those who know some Korean and are above a Beginning Korean I level to a low intermediate level should take the Beginning Placement exam. Those who are at a mid-intermediate to advanced level should take the Intermediate/Advanced Placement exam.

Interested in Fast-Track Beginning I?
No placement exam is needed, and you can proceed directly to registration. Please note that Fast-track Beginning Korean I is for those with some background with Korean and knowledge of the alphabet, hangeul.

Missed the Speaking Exam Link?
No problem! You can schedule the speaking exam with the KLP coordinator via this link here. Please make sure to have your written test completed prior to the speaking test.
