32ND ANNUAL VAN FLEET MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Korea Society held its 32nd Annual Van Fleet Memorial Golf Tournament at the Baltusrol Golf Club on June 12, 2023. Joined by members, sponsors, and supporters of the US-Korea relationship, the tournament provided another fun-filled day to celebrate our mission of promoting greater awareness, understanding, and cooperation between the people of the United States and Korea.

Thanks to a special contribution from LPGA, this year’s golf outing got even more exciting. For the first time, we included a one-on-one golf skills clinic with LPGA Class instructors in our program.

This year, Mr. Matthew Vandervere, Vice President at Precisely Software Inc, received the Medalist Low Gross Van Fleet Memorial Award.

Other awardees include:
Mr. David Maher (Low Gross 2nd Place Van Fleet Memorial Award)
Mr. Yong Sohn (Low Gross 3rd Place Van Fleet Memorial Award)
Mr. Eugene Ju (Low Net First Place Individual)
Mr. Matthew Vandvere (Longest Drive Male)
Ms. Haelim Shin (Longest Drive Female)
Mr. Won Kim (Closest to the Pin)
Mr. David Maher, Mr. Roger Czuchra, Mr. Jay Duke, and Mr. Breundan Reidy (Low Gross First Place Team)
Mr. Y.T. Hwang, Mr. James Cho, Mr. David Khym, and Mr. Sang H Pak (Low Net First Place Team)
Also, the winner of the online raffle goes to Ms. Lynn Degregorio.

For the dinner program, Assemblywoman Ellen Park representing the NJ General Assembly in District 37 made her presence with us to deliver special remarks.

Once again, The Korea Society appreciates all our tournament sponsors and in-kind donors for their generous support in making our 32nd Annual Van Fleet Memorial Golf Tournament a great success!
