30TH ANNUAL VAN FLEET MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Korea Society's 30th Annual Van Fleet Memorial Golf Tournament was held at the Baltusrol Golf Club on June 21, 2021. Members, sponsors, and supporters joined together for a day of golf that celebrated thirty years in promoting greater awareness, understanding, and cooperation between the people of the United States and Korea.

This year, Mr. David Maher, President & CEO of Acushnet Company, received the Medalist Low Gross Van Fleet Memorial Award.

Sean Pyun
Chief Business Officer – Asia
Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA)

As the LPGA’s Chief Business Officer – Asia, Sean Pyun leads all tournament, sponsorship, and business affairs for the LPGA in the Asia region.

Since joining the LPGA as the Manager of International Development and Member Services in 2008, Sean has served in various positions within the organization including the Director of Tournament Business Affairs, Managing Director of International Business Affairs before establishing the Association’s first ever regional branch in Seoul, Republic of Korea, in 2014. He has contributed to many key projects at the LPGA, including the launch of LPGA Golf Wear, first-ever private label apparel licensing deal, and LPGA International Busan, first ever LPGA branded golf course facility outside of United States.

Sean has received his undergraduate degree in Economics & Financial Applications at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and Master’s in Sport Management at the University of San Francisco. He currently splits his time between the LPGA Headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida and the LPGA Asia office in Seoul.

We will continue to monitor the safety precautions from New York and New Jersey local and state governments, as well as CDC guidelines on COVID-19. Accordingly, if we need to make any changes to our golf tournament -- whether in event schedule or date-- we will notify all registered golfers as soon as possible. Lunch and dinner will be served at the outdoor terrace abiding COVID-19 restriction guidelines.
